The Summer edition of the Gazette has been mailed. Have a wonderful summer!
Take part in the International Lace Day on June 25th. Find a public place, make lace, send us a story, along with some photos, so we can publish it as we celebrate this wonderful lace event!
New lapel (or scarf) pins “Lace Canada Dentelles” are available, just in time to help celebrate Canada’s 150th year as a country! Wear a pin to Lace in Public Day in 2017.
The design is a single maple leaf measuring 7/8 inch square (2.2 cm x 2.2 cm). The colour is a bright red, the same colour as the Canadian flag, with gold colour details. It attaches with a pinch back butterfly closure.
The gold openwork design is a “ring filling” found in Bruges bobbin lace, based on the original CLG logo by Kris Duwyn, designer and Irma Andries, lacemaker. [CLG Spring 1992]
Individual pins to Canadian addresses are $5.50 each, plus $2.00 shipping. Up to three pins can be sent to one address for the same shipping amount.
Group pricing: $55 for ten pins, plus postage is $3.50. For USA and Overseas orders, inquire by email for a price quote. PayPal: Please inquire regarding PayPal orders. A % is deducted from CLG. Email, if questions: clgeditor-at-gmail-dot-com
